Shortly after graduating from law school, Mr. Kerekes began working in-house for a local real estate development company in Beverly Hills which developed houses in the “flats” and commercial property along Wilshire Boulevard. While acting as assistant general counsel, and then later general counsel, he gained experienced in handling a wide range of real estate matters involving commercial real estate issues, complex legal issues, and contentious disputes involving multiple parties. After six years of working in-house, he started his own firm to assist individual clients and businesses with their real estate and litigation matters.
Our real estate practice includes, but is not limited to: purchase and sale disputes, partnership disputes, partition actions, quiet title actions, mortgage and deed of trust disputes, foreclosures, receiverships, contract disputes, construction litigation, easement and boundary disputes, eminent domain, commercial landlord-tenant disputes, and title insurance claims.
In our many years of handling real estate disputes, we have seen the potentially devastating effects of poorly-negotiated or drafted real estate agreements. Based on what we have learned from these disputes, we are able to negotiate and draft purchase and sale agreements, construction contracts, financing agreements, easement agreements, and collateral agreements which minimize the risk of future litigation and fully protect the interests of our clients.
